About the Artwork

This painting depicts an amazing day at the Santa Maria beach in Cuba. It was late November and a hurricane was darkening the horizon. The normally calm, clear turquoise water was pushing waves against the powder soft sand.  It was a time to reflect on life and plan for  the future.
