Every year, the Ottawa Tulip Festival (formerly the Festival of Spring) arrives with breathtaking colour, drawing millions of global visitors to the capital. This year, I had the privilege of capturing the magic on canvas over three days. I walked the entire pathway trying to find just the right spot. When I came across a grand old Maple Tree and noticed the dappled sunlight and shadows dancing across the grass, merging with the vibrant beds of blossoms, I knew it was the perfect spot. 

Luckily, I took plenty of pictures before the spot was swarmed with buzzing tourists. I’d like to thank everyone who stopped by to chat while I was painting—you truly made my day!
