About the Artwork

This portrait captures Chuck, my beautiful grand-dog. Rescued from an abusive situation by my son, Chuck was initially very scared of humans. Over time, however, his fear gave way to a gentle, sweet, and incredibly playful nature. He became a vocal, beloved member of our family—known equally for teaching the other family dogs to howl "Happy Birthday" and for his lifelong passion for stealing counter-top pizza.

This painting is a tribute to his resilient and joyful spirit.
